Bonding clay to cloth

polymer clay, that is...
Here is an article describing how to make "faux paper beads" --you know, where you roll up an elongated triangle. The clay bonds with the cloth.
I suppose this is a way to show off the beauty of the fabric. Although I'm sure you could do the same with clay alone.

Pretty beads.....I have bonded fabric to flattened clay with just a decoupage medium.
Need to make some beads......I've been messing with collages,ect....I need to play with clay for a while.

I wonder if it would work without the pasta machine? I don't have one, but I sure like the idea/technique.
