Did you just 'draw' your own paper ballerina's or did you download a pattern somewhere ...coloring book, Google or what...these are simply adorable & would be a fun project for family times! TFS, sameboat. Jeanne S.

I looked at pics online and drew freehand. I did the first few all different and they were difficult to draw. I simplified my silhouette and then cut a few at a time. You could trace bodies from a coloring book I suppose, and then just draw the arms and legs in different positions if you wanted. I didn't think that quick. I am willing to bet you could find a template online if you google "coloring book ballerina". Now I wish I did that! Some of my ballerinas have legs that are apart as if they're leaping in the air. I found them difficult to slip through the slit in the snowflake. I had to fold them without wrecking them in order for them to fit through. In the end the quickest, easiest and cutest were the simple ones, arms up overhead and toes together.

What kind of paper did you use?
Regular copy paper?
I'm thinking something a bit heavier would be better,
So they would hold up for a few years, at least.
I'm not familiar with types of paper used in scrap booking,
Is there something a bit heavier than 'regular' paper?
Card stock would be way too heavy, wouldn't it?

If wings could be added, they'd be "Snow Fairies".

I just used cheap copy paper from our printer. I think you could cut the ballerina bodies out of a card stock, but the snowflakes would be too hard. Last year I made one giant snowflake out of a heavy stock paper for my front door and now I wish I kept it because I just can't cut through all that paper again. It killed my hand!
