Merry Christmas

I will leave you with this poem, and see you next year!

I have a list of people

All written in a book -

And every year at Christmas time

I go and take a look.

And that is when I realize

That those names are all a part -

Not of the book they're written in

But of my very heart.

For each name stands for someone

Who has crossed my path some time -

And in that meeting they've become

A treasured friend of mine.

And once you've met some people

the years can not erase -

The memory of a pleasant word

Or of a friendly face.

And you are sure the lovely folk

In times past that I've met -

And happen to be some of those

I don't want ever to forget.

And whether I have known you

For many years or few -

In some way you have had a part

In shaping things I do.

So this is the Spirit of Christmas

That forever still endures -

May it leave its richest blessing

In the hearts of you and yours.

Merry Christmas from the Texas Jaybird. I hope you have a lovely weekend and may God bless each and every one of you in the upcoming shiny new year!!

Blessings,

J

Merry Christmas, JB, Frou , Karen, Luvs, OA, Jane, Yachter, Jeanne, Punk, Lynn, Nana, and all the dear folks at Holiday Forum.
    New friends and old.
Makes me wonder what ever happened to Sandi and Hi2All, Lee and the others who used to join in?
We were such a small band who stuck it out year round, making up holidays to get us through to the big ones, LOL

I am getting messages about my hard drive, so if I disappear, it means TROUBLE!

Merry Christmas, and many blessings in 2011. Good health!

Merry Christmas to all the "enablers" and dishaholics!

Kathleen, thanks for remembering me & others, I am terrible about remembering names, but yes, I do remember Lee & Sandi, guess they broke their "addictions" and were cured! LOL

I will count my blessings this season, a wonderful hubby, two wonderful sons, a great DIL and 6 wonderful, loving, talented & caring grandchildren!

I will pray for God to help all of us who are under stress for one reason or another & ask him to relieve our sources of stress!

Thank you all for being a big part of my family all year long! You are all the greatest!!!

Jaybird, that poem is so perfect for our little band of friends on here! I know we all "feel" like we know each other even if we haven't met because we've shared so much fun, and sometimes even those things in life that aren't fun. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Luvs
