Hello everybody,

I want to mix up some jars of hot cocoa for xmas gifts.. however I dont have time to try all the various ones... sooo would you guys recommend some that you have tried and you know are wonderful? the ingredients i have on hand are sugar/powderedsugar/hersheys cocoa/salt/cinnamon etc.. I need to purchase the dry nonfat milk.. sometimes that part confuses me though.. if it calls for powdered milk do they mean the dry nonfat milk? I have never purchased this stuff, but its the only 'non-liquid' milk i have seen.

Thanks so much for your help

Kim

    Hi Kim,

My mother made cocoa mix every winter for
the family and as gifts. The following is
her recipe and makes a huge amount.
    Its creamy, rich and wonderful...

    2lb. (1 container) Nestles Quick
    16oz. (1 jar) Coffeemate creamer
1box (14 qt. size) Powdered Milk
    2lbs. Powdered Sugar

    Mix ingredients together well.
    Store in air tight containers.
Use 1/3 cup of mix per cup of boiling water.

    Happy Holidays - ENJOY!

Hi, I use this recipe. My hubby says it's better than Swiss Miss. This also makes alot. I use my roaster pan to mix it in.
    Hot Chocolate Mix
8 oz. coffee creamer (I use the cheapest)
    16 oz. Nestle Quik
    12 oz. powdered sugar
    25.6 oz. dry milk (powdered)
Use 3 to 4 Tablespoons per cup
Hope you find one you like.
    Merry Christmas!

Hi there. When you say powdered sugar, are you talking granulated or confectioners? Sorry, my brain is not working this morning.
    Thank you!
