Another Bin Bites the Dust in the Dining Room

Ok, it sounds like many have a 'bin war' going on ... I made myself feel better by clearing off the foot high stacked dining table today (of course, I transfered it all to the spare double bed! LOL!

But, here's a few pics of my Dining Area that I accomplished today. Remember that acrylic angel I bought at GS for $1.50 this summer ...well, she worked pretty good in the center of my candleholder w/mercury glass:

I use faux votive candles & the centerpc really shimmers this evening...this pic was taken in daylight today. She has some gold accents painted inside her gown:

Vine tree (that was Fall decor on the porch) is now inside sitting by the buffet...it will stay there until Spring ...gets some changes over the mos. this Winter...here it is w/red glass berries & garland & white birds..part of the buffet is done, too:

Across the dining room at the sliding glass doors is my kitchen cupboard wall where I hung this big Santa pic this yr...GS find for $4 ...I love it's simplicity ... & beside it is my little shelf of snowman figurines...a Secret Santa gift some yrs ago from a co-worker:

Kind of blurry in this pic tonight...so here's a little better close-up...too lazy to get out my tripod!

I'm taking a break from decorating for a few days so I will enjoy looking at yours! TFLookin'! Jeanne S.

Your angel is so sweet in her vignette - she looks like a million dollars. Love the vine/twig tree - such a versatile tree for any time of the year. Your other vignettes are equally as sweet. You are such a beautiful decorator - I never tire of seeing what you do next TFS .....

...what Lynne said!! I can't improve on that. ;o)

You are taking a few days off? Take me with you! LOL.
I need a break from unpacking and sorting, but unfortunately I have got to keep going and get the darn
mess cleared out and my decorating done. I've emptied quite a few bins, repacked some and put back in shed. And have a BIG one FULL of stuff to donate.
What's giving me fits is all my ornaments! By not putting up the three 6 ft trees, that means most of them won't get used this year. :o( I love my ornies! I have carousel horse ones, reindeer ones, shiny brites, Santas, and did 'theme trees' with mine. I will miss that, but I have to listen to my body a little bit and accept the limitations this time.

I told Jason & Suz I wanted a new pair of legs for Christmas! She asked me if any color would do! LOL. As long as they work pain-free, I'd be thrilled. My second choice for Christmas is a pony, but I won't get that either. LOL. Guess that leaves gift cards from Michaels, Home Goods, and Hobby Lobby. ;o)

The angel is perfect in that vignette! So sweet!
    I'm loving the snowmen too!
You sure had a good Secret Santa!

The Santa picture is precious holding the dolls.

I'm almost done with the decorating, HA HA. My DH says I'm never done and will I ever stop buying more?? NOPE

Karen, I'm impressed that you are getting rid of some things. I'm good at acquiring, but not so good at getting rid of....in fact, my clothing broke another closet the other day! The rod bracket actually pulled out of the shelf holding it. I guess that I'd better do some sorting! LOL

Jeanne, not sure how I missed this post but it all looks great. The angel is an adorable cp with the mercury glass candle holders. Your getting alot of neat settings with those.

Santa pictures are a wonderful addtion to your snowman decor. Looks like they used insulators on for the hooks? We made some of these with old wooden spools and door knobs that turned out pretty cute. So many neat things on the hooks and on the shelf. I swear girlfriend, you make everything look wonderful!

Karen, so what color of legs have you decided on?LOL I would love it if your Christmas wish would could come true for you. I have gotten to the point I have issues with my legs when I'm on them to long. My knees have cracked for years and since I quit running they seem to be alot better. Now my waist and butt have a problem.haha

Candy, we have replaced all of our closet rods and holders so I hear ya, girlfriend. I don't have a problem getting rid of clothes. I love giving them to friends and coworkers. Now I have to srart getting rid of dishes and decor tho.ouch!

Hi Nancy, and welcome. Hope you will post more and join our fun here.

Candy, you have clothes in your closet?? LOL. My poor closet has become a dumping place for everything else it seems. Luckily I don't have many clothes I guess.

Punk...why I want purple legs of course!
Knee issues seem to come with aging unfortunately, and nearly all the dog folks I know who have shown for many years are either limping, or getting knee surgery, or replacements. Too much kneeling to set dogs up, or running around the rings. I have arthritis in my knees, and a specialist years ago told me that I would need replacements someday. But he said that wouldn't help the Fibro pain in them (the muscles that run along both sides
are the problem with it). So I am NOT going thru that awful surgery and recovery if I'd STILL hurt this bad!
I think the best thing for my throbbing legs would be to sit in Jeanne's pretty house and admire everything inside and out! Guaranteed to make me feel good!

    hugs, Karen

    Thanks, Holiday-ers!

The vine tree is still such a favorite...am happy to share it with you all...thanks!

The angel ...yes, I think she is adorable & did work out in the centerpc...had to squeeze one of her feet under a bit, tho. ;-)

That shelf DH made yrs ago & I added the insulators for hooks...it's been painted a few times...those 4 cutie snowmen were the SS gift & I found the little snowman sign at a FM.

It is fun to bring out the Winter decor (w/aches & pains & all, right!) & sounds like Winter snow is on the way...we are enjoying gr'kids for a bit, too! Jeanne S.
