sa-ltd + $23 = fun stuff! :)

sigh. Just typed for 30 minutes and then accidentally lost it all. Here we go again...

I took some not-so-good photos of my finds at the SA-Ltd out near my sister's house. Everything was 50% off, so how bad can it be? :)

NOT shown is the brand new Tolkien book that my BF nabbed. :)

There are two enameled trays, 2 pie plates, 2 carp bowls, the rotating spice rack, and an 8" square pyrex dish (not shown):

Nice 12"+ platter:

That's taking too long, so here's more (ice bucket, jewelry box, compote, 4 vases, giant pear, 2 coffee mugs, decorative storage container, leaf plate(?), :

And more (2 frames, 2 baskets, wooden fruit, taper candles, mini xmas bulbs):

Now, to re-visit that leaf... it looks and feels like Majolica to me. Is there a way to tell? And WHAT exactly is this used for???

The back has 3 feet!

This is for basket lovers... (Jeanne, are you listening? ;^)
I always nab a basket with a different or interesting weave that I've never seen before, and this is a very unusual way of rimming and decorating a basket! and, yes, I can recreate something like this when I see it -- so feel free to show me your unusual baskets. LOL!

Don't you just LOVE this pear?! And does anyone have any new ideas for how to use this jewelry box (other than just jewelry :)

Look at how neatly I got that mess cleaned up. LOL!

That was definitely worth $23 for the fun! :)

YES, I'm listening, party!

WOWSERS!!!! Pictures are worth a 1000 words!!! I'm glad you posted these! Ok, my faves ...well, so many pcs of it, actually ...but that gold 'pear' ... I just did a still life on buffet/& shelf this Fall & used pears that struck me as a 'gold!'

Next, that jewelry box w/all the little boxes & a drawer!! I would use that for Christmas decor ... the little boxes I would fill w/miniature treasures ... don't know how big they are but maybe 1" square ... things like an acorn ...or a little glass trinket ... a real pretty brass button ... a ring ... you get the idea! & then I would keep that drawer pulled part-way out & add some 'batting' or something for snow & a few small snowmen or Santa or Angels ...ok, I'm rattling!

That basket is very cool ...I'm sure you'll mastermind something from that pattern! And that 'leaf' ... beautiful pc! You got some 'pretty' glass there, girl! Lots of goodies & what a bargain $$ for the price of entertainment these days!!! TFS! Jeanne S.

PM, great haul, you found so many neat things while out shopping. We just had a SA open up north of us. Will be fun if they keep it stocked. The basket is so fancy so I can see why it called to you. I did a search on your plate and looks like these Olfaire Green Cabbage plates to me. What do you think? Neat and that # means something on it.

I can't believe how fast you put it all away.Superstar!!! I've been out of town a couple days so best keep checking posts or I'll never catch up.
