This table is for Betty!

| Betty was so sweet to find the acorn plates for me, so I thought I'd share them in a little tablescape for two along with a few of my other acorn items.
They are so pretty in real life, I don't think my picture can do them justice. I think at least one of them will have to find a place in my china cabinet year round just so I can enjoy looking at it!
The plates I used were a TS find some time ago, there were only two, but I wish there had been more. It's such a nice simple design and perfect for fall. The flatware is what we use everyday, but the wooden handles seemed right for this table.
Thanks to all of you who tried to find the acorn plates for me, I certainly appreciated it.

Oh Luvs..you finally received your lovely Acorn plates! They were well worth the search.. they are so pretty. That's such a nice look, with the wreath around them. The larger plates are very pretty too...It's a shame that you couldn't get more. I see the colors of your lantern, tablecloth, napkins and wreath ALL blend perfectly. I like that the color scheme is different and refreshing. I agree that the wood flatware works well with everything. I spy that pretty, new acorn pitcher 'peeking' out, and again what a great find. You must be beaming that you were finially were able to put together your table, with the plates you wanted, and all the accessories too. Everything looks so nice and I'm happy for you. jane |

| Well, I'm not Betty, but I peeked anyway! Luvs, you created a beautiful table setting with your acorn dishes and accents. I really like the color of your placemats, napkins and big candle. Everything sure looks nice. Lee |

Luv, I've seen some of these elements here before, but you really pulled everything together to make a beautiful table. How pretty! - Gail |

| Luvs, How wonderful that you could get your dishes and come up with this tablescape so quick. What a neat idea with the wreaths around your new acorn plates. Made me look twice. Your centerpiece is pretty and your candle is very unique. Nice orange pumpkin and your acrorn pitcher, S & P's all look great. I really like everything you have displayed. So happy Betty was able to get your plates for you. Are the green and red acorns real or artificial? I would love some of them to paint with the metallic paints. Wouldn't that be fun? Punk |

| Luvs, I'm so happy they arrived safely. The lady at the post office was so nice and stamped "fragile" and wrote "glass" all over that box after I explained that those plates were nowhere to be found and couldn't be replaced! I was in such a hurry to get them to you that I remembered that I hadn't taken the price sticker off AFTER I had mailed them! How tacky! Oh well. That's life in the fast lane. I've been bedridden with the swine flu since Sunday. My 6 year old DGS has it too. You don't know how happy it made me to check in and see this masterpiece. Where do I start.... The first word out of my mouth was "WOW"! Girl, you really kicked it up a notch! You really gave new meaning to the words "Woodland & Elegant". I love your new TS plates. I never would have thought to use that acorn wreath around the little acorn plate. It really made it POP! I love how your lantern pulls the colors up off of your tablecloth, and brings the leaves in again. Then you added the "Glitz & Shine" with the placemats, napkins, and candle. I love that fall wreath you put around the candle. And the pumpkin and perfect little acorn pitcher peeking out. What is sitting in front of your pitcher in the last picture? These old eyes can't quite make it out. How perfectly your everyday flatware added to the woodland theme! And you even sneaked a little "Birdie" in for me. Thanks for making my day! Hugs, Betty |

Luvs, I am running out of adjectives to describe everything, but these still apply, beautiful, elegant, rich, and wonderful. That soft brown color, is to die for. And the wreaths are the icing on the cake. Your acorn plates were worth the trouble it took to secure them. Last year I made napkin rings from real acorns and copper wire, I'll find a pic for you. Again, great job, thanks for sharing. Syble |

| Thanks everyone, I knew I had to do more than just a single picture of the new acorn plates since all of you were so good about trying to locate some for me. Betty, I just can't thank you enough. I'm so loving these plates, they are the prettiest acorn thing I have! Punk, those little acorns are wooden--came from a little package I found at Homegoods last year. Now I want a little bit of help if you would. I love playing with dishes, but still struggle with what looks best and what goes with what. At first I wanted to use the lantern for my centerpiece, but just couldn't figure out how, so I remembered my wreath had acorns and used it and the hurricane globe. If you were going to use the lantern, how would you display it? Would you put it on some kind of pedestal to raise it up higher? Would you use some silk leaves with it? How would you make it centerpiece status? Inquiring minds wanna know! ;o) Luvs |

Luvs, it's beautiful!!! And your new acorn plates from that sweet Betty really make the table. I have that same tablecloth, but never thought to use placemats with it. I really like that idea! Your centerpiece is just lovely but I think my favorite thing ~ aside from those wonderful acorn plates~ is how you added the garland around each plate. What a great (and pretty) idea! Lynn |

| Luvs, your fall table is gorgeous! I've been going to every Dollar General in my area, but I've had no luck finding those acorn plates. I'm so glad you were able to get some. |

| What can I say that hasn't been said?!!! It's all just wonderful! Your TS plates are perfect and must be great in many other 'scapes as well. Betty, hope you are feeling better real soon. :-) |

| Jaybird--if you look out the door, the sky will probably be rosy--that's from the blush on my face over all those sweet compliments! Lynn, I really like that tablecloth for the fall colors, but mostly because it has ACORNS on it too! LOL If I'd had some pretty gold or brownish looking chargers, I would have used those instead of the round placemats--but I think they worked okay. Tammy, I sure hope you are able to find some of those plates too. They are such pretty colors. I think we came to the conclusion that they are mostly in the East Coast stores for some reason. Thanks Kathleen and Luckygal, I'm glad you liked it. Did anyone read my question about how you would have made a centerpiece using the little lantern? I'm still pondering it. Luvs |

| Luvs, your acorn tablescape looks wonderful! I LOVE those plates as well and how nice that Betty got them for you. That will make them all the more special every time you use them. I like the colour of the candle you have in the hurricane shade, goes well with the acorn plates. To use the little lantern as a centerpiece...could you elevate it on a pedestal cake plate and put some kind of faux leaves around it or some fabric, etc and then put the pedestal of the cake plate in the flower ring you used? Just an idea. You could also put that lovely squash/pumpkin on the other side inside the flower ring (if it will fit) for a different look. DD |

| Luvs, I saw your question about the lantern, but I am no help. I am not good at looking at pictures to decide what works -- I do a better job in the room. Have you thought about looking through magazines, or on the internet for ideas? I bet there are tons of them right now. Lee |

| Lee, I'm constantly looking at magazines and on all those Tablescape Tuesday blogs! They make it look so simple, but when I try to do it--not so much so! LOL Thanks, DD, I like the idea of using the pumpkin in the middle too. Did try the lantern there, but it didn't look right--but maybe if it were raised up higher like you said. I might play around a bit before I put it all away just to see what else looks good. Luvs |
