Show Me Your Turkey Ceramics

I've been inspired here this year to find some Autumn/Thanksgiving decs that are turkeys. Unfortunaltely, I haven't been able to locate hardly any around here this year. I've looked at Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Target. Yesterday I spent an hour and a half down in Albuquerque at a 60-booth antique mall . . . to no avail. I did buy a covered pumpkin bowl for only $6, though. But, back to turkeys. Anybody have a ceramic turkeys? A covered bowl or tureen or anything? Will you show me/us pics of them? I need to know that there is hope in finding one for myself. I'm especially hoping to find a large piece that's nicely painted.
Sooooo, let the Turkey Show begin!!!

Lynn, I already showed my turkeys and your right they are hard to come by. But just today I was looking on Wal-mart on line for those autumn chargers, posted else where and they had a huge beautiful turkey. He was kind of pricey but really nice. I didn't find the chargers, rats.

Lynn,

Sorry, no turkeys here (I am fighting the urge to make a silly turkey joke) -- the only turkey thing I have is a pair of candle holders. I don't think two candle holders with tapers are quite what you are looking for.

I am surprised though, that no one has a tureen or large ceramic turkey. Guess they are scarce.

It's me again -- Thought I'd check Fitz and Floyd for you. They have four turkey items in their outlet.

For some reason I am having trouble with the link. I think it is my connection, but if it doesn't work, just go to F and F.

Here is a link that might be useful: Gobble, Gobble

Last year I went looking for a nice sized turkey to use for a centerpiece. I couldn't find anything ceramic either--but I did find a brown molded plastic thing that I went ahead and bought. I haven't been out looking anywhere yet this year. Good luck in your search. Luvs

Hi Lynn...

I have some S&Ps..that I bought online from KMart last year. I haven't taken pics of them.

I already showed these..when I bought them a few weeks ago from CTS.. They were $1.29 ea. I also have two small matching plates, in the shape of turkeys. ( No picture of them.)

I bought this turkey on Ebay last year, for $16, shipping included. Tam had one, and I admired it and kept searching for something similar.

I know when I was in TJ Max, I saw some Ceramic Turkeys, but that was several weeks ago.
Right now, I see they are just focusing on Christmas things...not much Thanksgiving now.

I see the Turkey Hunt has begun and I like what I see so far. I haven't ever thought about wanting turkeys until I came to play with all of you. Now I must say that after seeing your turkeys, I will be on the lookout.

Here's my ceramic turkey I painted years ago. Will that work for my contribution to this post? I even have it hanging on the wall.

Luvs, your turkey sure doesn't look plastic. He's quite attractive I think.
My turkey dressing boat from eBay.

And this lg turkey tureen from an antique mall for $9.

And I've bought 2 sets of S&P shakers off eBay. One colored and one white.
Tho I'm still drooling over that fantastic white set Slinkey found at CTS!!

hugs, Karen (who's turkey hunting too)

Yikes, I forgot about this post of mine! You all have some nice turkeys and I'm still hoping to find one for myself. I can't decide if I want white ones or colored as, now seeing your pics, I like them both!
