Couldn't resist

| I'm such a sucker for goofy salt and pepper shakers. Couldn't resist these when I saw them on Pfaltzgraff's homepage.
I'm starting to mentally create a whole table setting around them. As HGTV would say, "They're my inspiration piece." I'm going to wind large LED string lights down the table. Then I'm going to .... oh, I don't know yet, but I'm sure, with your help, I'll be able to think of something.

| How clever. I am so amazed at all the cute salt/pepper sets out there. These could work with so many holiday tablescapes--you're gonna have fun playing with them. Luvs |

Too cute, wouldn't it look nice with all different colored plates in those colors, I'm thinking white tablecloth to make everything pop ( another HGTVism). Have fun. Syble |

Those are cute and so festive, OA! If you collect S&P's you'll appreciate this idea. Years ago a good friend took me over to her aunt's home. This lady had a huge collection of S&Ps and her DH had built in very shallow, lighted display cabinets down their main hallway for them. He'd framed them into the walls between the wall studs, added glass shelves and then glass doors to keep them dust free. I was so impressed with the ingenuity of using that unused space for her big collection of such tiny, unique things. Lynn |

| I love those S&P's! Do you have Fiestaware? Would be perfect in several colors with those. |

| OK, gals. I just know I've seen candy dishes that are shaped like Christmas light bulbs. Of course, now that I want them, I can't find them. So if you come across anything like that, please let me know. I figure with as many eyes in as many different states as we've got on this forum, someone's bound to spot them. |

| OA, They are Darling! My Mama used to collect S/P shakers. I have a couple of sets that belonged to her. This brings back memories. I can't wait to see your tablescape! How many candy dishes do you want if we were to find them? Betty |
RE: Couldn't resist

| Golly, I'd want at least 4. I love the ones from Target that Luckygal found, but they're out of stock. I think the colors were a perfect match to my salt and peppers. Luckygal, how'd you do that? I googled a dozen times and a dozen different ways and never found them. |

OA...those are just too cute. What a fun table to set with them. I'm thinking up so many ways to 'play' with them...Have Fun, and share what you do. jane |

| OA, I think I googled Christmas light bulb dishes and Christmas light bulb candy dishes. I didn't use quotation marks as it's limiting to a search. |
RE: Couldn't resist

| Luckygal, that is so fun that you even found lightbulb candy for OA! Good job! Luvs |

| OA, I stopped by Dollartree yesterday and they have garlands with tiny Christmas bulbs shaped like your salt and pepper shakers. Not sure if they are classy enough looking but wanted to mention them to you. They were hanging at the end of a candy isle at the one at 16th and Archibald. If they are too bright, you might be able to tone them down with some stain like Mary Ruth did her tinsel garlands last year--messy but effective. Just wanted to mention them to you. Luvs |

| Oh my, what cute S & P shakers and the candies that match are wonderful. I love them. Those Christmas Light Canapé Knives are darling you found Luckygal. You are a wonderful enabler I'm seeing.LOL Thanks for the warning.hah Punk |

| The Christmas bulb items must be another of those things that we see, but just don't always focus in on. I stopped at a craft show today, and they had the canape knives, another kind of garland and some oversized bulb shaped ornaments just for decoration! Bet if we all keep our eyes open, we will start finding even more items. Luvs |
RE: Couldn't resist

| Rats! I was thinking of going to that show - was it in Cucamonga? I kept away because I know I can't afford one single thing until the kitchen is done. Plus, I don't know where to put it with everything in boxes or in three layers of dust. Still, I am determined to find Christmas bulb items. I'm getting the canape spreaders for sure! |
