Caught in the act.

I got these great white plates at our "Restore", there is 8 of them and they are a 10 inch size. They are marked Italy on the the back, they had been $8.00 and I am so thrifty I wouldn't buy them, but yesterday they were marked down to $3.00 for all 8. Woo hoo! So they boxed them up and I was trying to balance the plate box, purse, and open the trunk, guess who pulls up. DH was passing by and caught me red-handed. He's a good sport, he didn't fuss too much, sometimes he stops at that TS to look for me. Also I got this great turkey basket for a $1.50. I've got to find something to fill it before Thanksgiving.

| Great plates - I love that design! That price is amazing! The turkey basket will make a great vignette or centerpiece. Please show us what you put in it. Good of your DH to help you, mine does that also now! Gotta love all these enablers! LOL |

| I'm loving those plates, Girl! And can't wait to see what you do with Mr Turkey. I saw a cute little duck with an arrangement in her back at the funeral home last night. My first thought was, "I like that. I bet my web girls would too!" Betty |

| Great finds. I have a similar turkey basket. I use mine on the buffet at Thanksgiving for dinner rolls. Post a pic of whatever you do, love to see what you do with yours. |

| Frou, that is so funny that he caught you "in the act"--glad he was a good sport! Those are beautiful plates and what a fantastic price too! Tom looks cute, like the idea of him holding the rolls, but he could hold a floral arrangement too. Have fun with him--and those great plates! Luvs |

| Syble, So happy that you held off until the price on the dishes went down. You will be able to use them for any occasion. The turkey basket could be used for alot of things. I was thinking like WIP and you could wrap your dinner rolls in a nice cloth to serve. Punk |

Thanks everyone. Work in Progress, I was thinking fresh flowers for a centerpiece, but now I'm pretty sure he's going to be the roll basket. I think I am going to use the huricanes that I made from sheesharee's post instead. The food takes up every available space and the hurricanes take up little space. And now I can use the turkey effectively. Syble |

Gosh, I almost got a set just like them a couple of days ago. Wouldn't have been the bargain that you got with yours though. Nice work. |

| I would just DIE if Hubby came looking for me at the TS!! I sneak stuff in the house all the time, he really has no clue where most of it comes from. :) Plants are a little harder to sneak in. :( |
