Lipstick on a pig

haha! I was just thinking about what it must be like to be able to decorate a home as beautiful as Jane's... then I thought about what I have to work with. It's a little like putting lipstick on a pig. :O)

Busy day, busy week. WISH I could weave and do fun crafty/artistic stuff, but just don't have the time.

I think it would be wonderful to decorate a house as beautiful as Jane's . But I think any house can look festive especially if you enjoy doing it.

I think Nana is right - You and turn any house into
a nice 'home'...if you 'love' and enjoy doing it.
You know when DH and I first started out, we bought
a 'Handy Man's Special'...just what we were looking for
on our very tight budget. Everyone thought we were
crazy...we actually had to wash the walls before we could
paint them. But, we saw good bones thru it all...and worked on it for over 20 yrs...loving every minute..
As time went by...friends and family would enjoy seeing the changes we made (all done by us - do to lack of $)...
To this day, that little house is my favorite!

Jane, I have a 'handyman special'.... My dad told me not to touch it with a 10 foot pole when he looked at it with me. LOL! In the end he was glad I got it because it did 'fix up' pretty decently. Let's just say it's NOT my dream house. I joke that if two people are in the kitchen at the same time, one has to leave so that the other can turn around.

Just a little levity on an otherwise dreary day. :)

Love it! That's a pretty cute pig w/lipstick all right. What a fun crazy bunch here!!! Sure hope you didn't sell our 'Holiday Bus' with the home Jane. I'm willing to store it if need for the time being. Or is it to late?LOL
