'celebrating' transferware and ironstone

Ok, even tho its June and the Forum is super slow with no real holidays, I still figured I better add something to the title to make it sound "holiday-ish". ;o)

Nancy of the gorgeous trove of transferware, who's blog I've shared occasionally with you, has done it again. She is showing how she uses some of her transferware, and how Martha Steward uses ironstone in a similar fashion. Sure makes blah, old, utensils look like pretty decor I think.

Transferware & Ironstone!
Love her collections.
I've used ironstone for kitchen utensils because it's hardy....
but she's daring using her transferware that way. Guess I'm too chicken -
of them chipping or breaking. I have to admit I love the look and, do admire how she uses them.

I am always drawn to transferware...every color of it appeals to me. I love looking at other people's collections as well and how they use different pieces.

Very pretty.
I like them all, but I think the plain white and the red transferware are my favs.

love the way she is using her transferware. I have started using some of my decorative containers (crocks mostly) for silverware and kitchen utensils. I also am using an oblong McCoy planter for napkins. I love finding new ways to put my collection pieces to good use - TFS .....
