Planting Season

Now that the danger of frost is over here it is safe to start planting.
Although not everyone follows that advice.

I found these cute placemats 3 years ago at a thrift store and finally came up with an idea of how to use them.

Once again I was able to shop at home to find what I needed for the table.

Darling table you set with those cute place mats, Nana. Matching napkins too?
Love the way you placed the flatware in the bird houses on the place mats!

You have garen tools, seeds, birds and watering cans. All part of 'Planting Season.'
Did you paint your cp watering can? Great job layering. Cabbage soup bowls
are wonderful. Love the white, green plates and stems.

I'm thinking I'm going to pass on planting a garden this year. Seems we always
get so much company in the summer. Our garden gets put on the back burner.
I would rather enjoy our company and buy fresh veggies. However, I will be
    enjoying alot of fresh stawberries.

    Thanks for sharing, Nana.

Nana, this is a wonderful setting. I like the flatware in the birdhouse too. You have given me some ideas to use on my patio.

Punk, this has been The Year of the Strawberry. So many great big plump ones, and prices are reasonable too (although, not as reasonable as the ones you're getting from your yard).

OA, I haven't seen great prices here on strawberries yet. Hope
they hurry and send some our way before mine are ready. I've
been wanting to make a strawberry rhubarb pie! Our rhubarb is
    out of control.

    Thanks everyone
    glad you liked the table.
Punk I did paint the watering can for an earlier table.
I've had it for years. It is ceramic and was bright yellow.
I used the birds mostly because, although it is hard to see, the print on the placemats has a birds on it.
And the bird house napkin holder was begging for occupants, so who was I to refuse??
It is a little early here for strawberries.
My DH loved strawberry rhubarb pie. me,...not so much.

Darling placemats! Yes, gardening time is here ... when the weather is good, I spend as much time outdoors as possible (cleaning house is for the birds then!)

Such a summery table, nana... the flatware in the birdhouse pocket is very cute (esp for left-handed people...must spoil them once in a while!) That centerpc watering can is darling & your guest can take home a packet of seeds to plant!

Sweet as can be! No strawberries here yet ... but have made my 2nd rhubarb crisp of the season. ;-) ~~Jeanne S.
