Easter Decor

This is the buffet behind the table in the dining room. Seems
like I never have time to tweak. It always amazes what shows
up in the pictures when it's time to post.haha At least it's done
and I can get ready to do some fun things outside soon.

We bought 4 cans of stain yesterday to redo the deck,
our stagecoach and water wheel. I need to do some painting
on all the trim outside this year too. Must of been that wet
cold winter!HA Just thankful we have alot that is maintenance
free around here.

Topped the hutch with DGD's M & M bunnies she brought me.

DM's little pink bunny.

Easter egg trees on both sides of the hutch.

One of DGD's baseball choc bunnies from last year she didn't eat!
The eggs were some I picked up at TJ Maxx one year. They are
so pretty.

DGD gave me this little log planter with geraniums. I added a few
chicks for Easter.

DGD and I made some eggs last time she was here. The purple one out of crochet thread is one.
I brought my tote of thread in so we can make more this week. She also gave me some bugs.So
I added them on the large purple ones in the martini glass to see what she has to say. I can hear
her now "Oh Nanners, Really?"

Photobucket is not working well but will try another post with more
decor to share. Punk

Wow ... you do have the bunnies & the eggs, punk! Sweet!

The crochet thread purple one is pretty ...that will be a fun project w/DGD. That bunny on the left of the glass vase filled w/eggs in this last pic reminds me of a couple 'critters' that are on my porch table w/Easter bunnies (remember those?) ~~giggle

The lil' log planter is adorable ... esp w/the added chicks.
You have such pretty plates that you add to your buffet displays. I also love that big aqua bunny that looks like he's standing up sleeping or else he is 'sad.' (cool pottery piece)

Everything just looks like 'fun, fun, fun' @your home! Enjoyed lookin'! Jeanne S.

    So sweet and adorable Punk!
Love your DM's pink bunny...so vintage looking, and I
Ike all the little peeps and bunnies you added to the shelves. Also
Those Bird plates look nice in there too. I get a kick out of your DGD and
How she adds to your collections. Something she will always remember...and again they will have a special meaning for her.
Love the 'bug vignette' on the counter....'Oh Nanners, Really' !! Lol

Jeanne and Jane, thanks once again for all your sweet,
fun comments. I do remember Jeanne. I'm trying to copy you!
You crack me up! I never noticed that aqua bunny is sleeping
standing there. I bought it at Pier 1 to go with my blue jars. So
where are they you and I both wonder. Still sitting in the pantry.haha

Jane, my DGD is one of those 8 yr olds going on 15. But we
have so much fun together and she keeps me laughing most of
the time. When we mod podged the balloons with music paper
she asked 'where in the world would I get the idea to use music
to cover eggs.' I informed her I'm not the only crazy person in
the world, they are all over the web!

I told DGD she better have a BIG home when she grows up.
Her reply was 'I have no way of knowing what I will have.' I
repeated, it better be BIG and LOL. She does love crafting and
    helping me decorate.

I'm so glad I found this forum before I gave away more of DM's things I got. I should go through the rest and not worry what the others think. It's been 12 years now. Is there a time limit on this?LOL

Thanks again Jeanne and Jane. Punk

Everything is looking very Eastery at your house Punk! Love all of your bunnies and birds! The purple egg is very pretty and I think it's cool that you added the bugs! My DD loved bugs when she was little. Really like your bird plates as well. I see that your baby doll is all dressed for Spring as well.

Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Punk, I'd say 12 yrs is more than enough for a time limit....go thru your DM's things! I doubt anyone could appreciate and enjoy any of it more than you.

You are so lucky to have a little DGD to follow in your awesome decorating/crafting steps! I bet you two have so much fun together making all these memories.

You have a very Hoppy looking Easter display! :o) Just makes one smile looking at everything. Of course I right away noticed the darling aqua sleeping bunny too. He's super cute!!

    hugs, Karen

Punk, sorry it has taken me so long to comment .
I love your hutch. the M@M bunnies are too cute!
And the sleeping bunny is adorable.
I'm so glad your DGD likes to help you!
My second DGD would pick things up at yard sales that she thought I would like. She spent a summer cataloging a friend's
vintage and antique pieces, and is quite knowledgeable.
She is going to school in California now though. I hope she is still interested when she comes home.
    Anyway, I really enjoyed looking

Marlene, funny how kids like bugs! I love working outside
right now because all the bugs, bees, etc aren't out yet.lol

Karen, thanks for your input. I might go out there and go
through things and see what I can't live w/o! I sure hope
DGD continues to have an interest in all my stuff. If not
the kids will deal with it later.

Creek, I love having things of DM's. Even though I have
to admit, I didn't treasure them as much before joining in
here! So fun to read all the comments and hear how
others have cherished what they've received from family.
So glad your back sharing the fun on here!!!

Nana, I have started putting some labels on my dishes
so the kids can go online and search before deciding
what should be done with them. The M & M bunnies
are fun. She also gave me a lg purple M & M container
that is sitting on my counter. I should have shared.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Punk

I'm so happy that you have things from your mother that you can use and treasure. My mother is still around and says that I have more decorating stuff than she does. That's probably true as I like to decorate for holidays and love tableware. Since I don't have children, I suspect all of my pretties will end up finding homes with strangers which is fine with me, just as long as someone finds pleasure and joy in them.
