Easter Decor for Dollbaby + Buffet & a bit More (pic heavy)

Started some Easter decorating the last day or two ... the weather doesn't feel like Spring but the calendar says it is & Dollbaby thought she needed some Easter joy!

Here she is in her colorful, flowered "smocked" jumper & bonnet (a TS find last yr):

Here's a closer view:

Yup, barefoot & all! She wanted to feel the grass between her toes while she chased baby chicks! Good grief! It's cold out there! I need to find her some "frilly" pink or yellow socks!

Here's a closeup of her tray goodies...the little basket is a TS find this yr (50 cts) & looks handmade like partymusic's work! The wood eggs are kind of old & recycled...used to be on a tree. The ceramic chicks I've had a couple yrs...Dollbaby got her way & got to keep them on her tray...Mama Hen is separated from them this yr! And the little camera w/the bunnies was a gift some yrs back...crocheted doily TS find:

Here's "Mother Hen"...my DH drilled a hole in the bottom of her so I could put her on this old wood column ... & the big Mama Bunny is on the buffet:

Here's a pic of the buffet so far...I didn't get any fresh flowers yet (or faux) for the pitcher:

Also in the dining room, my DH built an oak shelf for above the sliding glass doors some yrs back & it is decor'd for Spring...hard to photograph:

These are just some pottery planters & some teakettles I've collected (teakettles are because of "Enablers R Us!"

This pic shows the stained glass light that was handmade along with the buffet & table by my DH's gr'ma's brother-in-law (1894-1938) that we bought at g'parents estate sale in 1985...& also you can see winter decor on the porch! Needs to warm up so I can get my "bunnies" & fun stuff out there!

Oh & Mama Bunny's babies found there home once again this yr in the living room on the treadle sewing machine:

Shall I leave you with one more pic...oh, I just can't resist being naughty! LOL! Here's another BOP Spring pic...the jar has soap eggs in it (topper from Avon gift...jar got broke)...& a new cast iron "birdy" to go w/the cast boy & girl.

Whew! TFLookin'! Enjoy your weekend & Think Spring! Jeanne S.

    Oh it all too cute!
I love Dollbaby's outfit and her tray is perfectly adorable!!

Since I am also a teapot collector, I really like the display over the doors.

    BOP vignette is very sweet.
I agree it is time for Spring to pop out!!

Jeannne, all your Spring decor is wonderful. I'm so jealous of Dollbaby and her chicks there are adorable. Your buffet is shaping up nicely. You are so lucky to have such nice handmade family pieces. I love the pottery above the windows also, I'm a big collector of white pottery and love yours mixed with the green. DH did a great job on your shelf. Your BOP is too cute, especially the eggs in the jar. Love it all, so cozy and welcoming.

I just want to kiss Dollbaby's little toes. She's too precious for words, and has become 'real' to us here I think. She sure stole my heart.

And I LOVE the shelf your talented DH made for above the door. Great display place, and you've decorated it beautifully. Mama Hen looks perfect on the wood post! I really like that idea for her. Her baby chicks, or should I say Dollbaby's? LOL, are really cute. I'd love to find some like them, they are very prettily done.

    Your decorating always delights me.

Jeanne, Dollybaby is sweet as always and her tray looks great. Did her and the camera crew photograph for you?LOL I may need to hire them to do mine.

Enjoyed all your spring decor. Your hen on the column is wonderful. Did you restain them to match or just get lucky? Love all your brown bunnies, pottery and the brown wooden eggs.

The BOP is so stinkin' cute. I will try to get mine decorated... You Enabler You!

Jeanne...everything is looking lovely and So Spring!
Babydoll looks so sweet in her little outfit...love her 'chubby little feet'! They're so cute w/o socks.
I like her basket and those wooden eggs. I also like those cute baby chicks. Perfect for her. I know I always say it, but I'm loving the change again to your buffet.
I love that brown bunny as well as the other ones too. DH did a nice job mounting that hen on the column...it's a nice accent piece.
Well, you've got me 'fired up..I've got to get the rest of my Easter stuff out.
    TF the inspiration!

my favorites are the bunny arrangement on the sewing machine, and the shelf over the window. I would love to have space like that above a window or cabinets. You found the perfect things to but there. Also love Doll baby's little Easter chicks.

Jeanne, Dollbaby steals the show, once again. I think she likes being barefooted. I'd love to tickle those chubby little toes! Her toys should keep her busy for a while. The camera is too cute. Mother Hen looks content on her new perch.
Love Mama Bunny on the buffet and the babies playing on the sewing machine. The arrangement on the shelf is lovely do you change that out for the seasons also? I'm glad Enablers R Us could help you out LOL!! I hadn't thought to decorate BOP, but now I'll have to find something to put there hmm.

Thanks for your gracious comments, Holiday-ers!

candy...yup, I'm hooked on "teapots" now, too (not "teakettles," as I said)...love the 'Enablers R Us' group here!

Marylee & Frou & PM...my Mom has to be smilin' down on me about dressin' Babydoll!(& she does have cute toes & fingers...even tho they feel like plastic. I've enjoyed decorating w/her so much since coming to this Forum...will pass on to DH shelf compliments. The ceramic baby chicks I got after Spring sale at a local specialty consignment shop.

punk...I bought that column (table post or whatever) for $10 at another CShop ...it was stained that color & my Mother Hen is wood from HLobby...had her for a few yrs now & seemed a perfect match! There is a nail sticking in the column for candles.

jane & pat & nana...those brown bunnies called to me...I bought them over 2 or 3 yrs at another specialty CS...I leave them out for summer usually, too. Ever since I've seen party-music's wonderful hand-made baskets I am on the outlook for them!

LOL...hope to see some more BOP pics...SMILING is good! Thanks again, everyone! Jeanne S. ... now need some more motivation & energy...you all help with that! LOL!

I got another of those "columns" or whatever you call them for $10 (which is a steal around this area, anyway) & DH & I did this project last yr with it...painted it white:

Your columns are great! Love that white birdhouse one, will it go on your porch or outside? I always love the bunnies, but have to say those little yellow chicks are sure precious--no wonder babydoll wanted them on her tray! You are always so quick to get your decorations changed out for each season/holiday--I need some of your "get up and go". ;o) I always look forward to seeing your decor, Jeanne.

Jeanne, love the white birdhouse too. That's quite the machine behind it! Do you use this for yard work or just for fun?

Thanks, gals...the birdhouse is old barnwood ...that's what my DH & I build with mostly ...but it sure was hard painting that "stained" post!

The John Deere 'Gator is a lifesaver! (with a tilt box) Everytime (which is alot) we use it (every day in the summer, at least & Fall)...we say, "boy, wish we could have bought this 20 yrs ago!" We use it for "work" & "fun" & "fun work"...bumpy ride though if you go very fast! Jeanne S.
