. . . from last year ;^D
I'm always the last one here to post a table and really meant to get my Valentine table done early this year. I HAVE been planning it, but came down with "the cold from hell" on Saturday and haven't felt up to shopping for the rest of the things I need. Now that's bad for me, because I LOVE, love, love roaming around the thrift shops, Marshalls and wherever for pretty decs! So, I thought I'd post some pics of my last year's table for the time being (LOL!). Gosh I love my santo angel! I may use it again this year.

I added more roses to the lower right of the wreath I made last week. It was looking kind of naked after a while ;^D Do you like it better this way? I'm not going to keep it on this door, but I still have to buy a window wreath hanger when I next get down to town. Lynn

| Yes, Lynn that looks good. Sort of helps the eye move across the wreath. Your angel is wonderful and of course we all love the red/white plates, but what really caught my eye is the container holding the roses. That is a gorgeous silver piece. Luvs |

Thanks Luvs. I got it online at an auction a few years ago for a couple dollars. I wish I knew what it's called. At first I thought it was some sort of warmer, because it has a removable insert with holes in it that fits halfway down into the piece. But, I finally realized that it's for flowers and the insert acts like a sort of floral frog. I don't use it for fresh flowers, just silk because I don't want it to tarnish. Anybody know what it's called????? Lynn |

| Lynn, I think your wreath looks wonderful with the added roses. The silver piece holding the roses also caught my eye. It's gorgeous! Hope you feel better soon! |

| Lynn, I love looking at your photos. Your architecture, furniture, and decor are so beautiful -- and so different from anything I see in the north east. |

Lynn...I remember your lovely table from last year, and seeing your beautiful dishes, started me off in colllecting Old Britian Castles! Your wreath looks great with the added florals, and I think your Angel Vignette is really lovely too. Take care of that cold...Sounds like you have a VERY serious condition...Especially since it prevented you from Shopping!! LOL Feel better.. jane |

Beautiful!! I love the silver floral holder, the red candle holder sitting on the silver and the reflective candles surrounding it with the sweet angel watching over the whole arrangement. Your VDay table was lovely and I really love the wreath now with the little extra pop of color. Get well soon!! p.s. You're not the last one get a table together. I haven't even started yet but it's on the weekend "to do" list. lol |

| Hope you are soon feeling better Lynn so you can shop and tablescape! No fun being sick. Your santos angel is very cute - is that bisque? I've been reading Mary Emmerling's Romantic Country and there are some pics of SW decor, one showing niños (baby Jesus santos) that are made of bisque. Interesting book BTW for anyone who likes eclectic and unique decor. Not the usual country style. Your silver flower holder is very elegant. Very nice idea to double placemat and of course I love your dishes. I like the extra roses on the wreath also. TFS |

| Beautiful!!! I'm new to this forum, but my garden junk friends rave about it all the time, so I'm checking it out! Love all of your decorations! Hope you're feeling better....I think I had that same cold back in December...hung on for a while, but finally went on it's way! |

| Marlene, glad to have you come join in here. Welcome! Several of us go over to have fun on GJ too. This is a neat place to play with our "inside" treasures like we play with the outside ones over there! ;o) Luvs |

I wasn't here last year, so thanks for bumping up the post. Your angel and the deep red roses really look classy. Love the crocheted place mats over the plaid ones, great idea. And your wreath is just right. Syble |

| Thanks Ladies for your kind words and wishes for a speedy recovery. I'm getting there but, gosh, this is a crummy cold! Marlene, welcome to our forum. This truly is the nicest group of gals . . . and Jim, when he occasionally chimes in. I've learned so much since I've joined! Jeanne, no I haven't tried it yet, but I may tomorrow. Luvs: "CHERUB"! that's the word I was searching for . . . yes!!! Luckygal: I have Mary's "American Country West" and love it! BTW, I've been gifted with some money to buy tablescape stuff and am DYING to get down to town to shop tomorrow . . . but, it's been snowing here now for the past 6 hours straight! Emily called from school to let me know they were being released at 11:30 because the roads were getting bad. The bus passed 3 accidents in the last 4 miles before our bus stop and there were many cars left on the side of the road that couldn't make it up the mountain here. When will people learn that you NEED 4-wheel or all-wheel drive up here?!? (Sigh!) It looks like a snow day for everyone in our village tomorrow! Lynn |

| Lynn, I couldn't agree more with all that's been said. I'm glad you posted your last year's pix again. Its SO pretty. Marlene, its wonderful to see you over here! Kirk and SusieRose pop in occasionally, Frou and Jeanne have been on a roll posting lovely pictures too. I just had brain freeze but think other GJers here too. Luvs and I have been here for a few years and its definitely a wonderful place to be. hugs, Karen |
