More New Goodies to Share With You All!

I've been busy, busy, busy these past few days and haven't been around here much. Emily had last Friday off from school and we spent the day in town shopping for DH's birthday gifts, etc. Over the weekend, I took Emily to see "Riverdance", which was incredibly wonderful, BTW! On Sunday, our good friends' had us over for DH and my combination Birthday & Super Bowl party. Yesterday Emily came down with "my" cold, poor kiddo! It was DH's birthday (our b'days are 4 days ~ and a number of years~ apart). I made a great dinner, but she couldn't taste much of it.

Anyhoo, when I was down in town the other day, I found this darling "brother" to Jane's at a consignment shop. How funny is that . . . we both ended up with similar ones! I have no idea what I'll do with my boy, though. If you have any suggestions (other than copying Jane's cloche), I'd love to hear them. I wonder if there are any ornament holders available around at this time of year? Anyhoo, my boy is approx. 11" tall.

My girlfriend gave me this pitcher and two sets of these darling cloth napkins for my birthday.

Today, I was down in town again to meet my bestfriend for lunch. I had time before to make a quick run through Kohls, as I had a $10 Kohls Kash card to use. I got four of these Spring napkin rings, on sale for $2 each.

And finally, totally OT, but here's a pic I snapped of my sweet little Tibetan Spaniel, Chloe, the other day. The noise from the hail outside was scaring her and she "hid" under my sofa pillows in the family room.

Lynn...your little Clohe's eyes...look bigger than her!!
Funny when they're scared where they put themselves to hide.

I got a kick out of your 'Twin' cherub to mine! Actually he's a 'Triplet'...because I have two of them...lol
I used them on last year's Valentine Table, as napkin ornaments. You'll come up with something good to do with him...and Definitely Show Us!

Great gifts you got...those napkins with the buttons are precious and I like the milk pitcher.

Great buy on those Spring Napkin holders from Kohls!
I like all the colors in them. They'll be great to use with many, different Spring/Summer tablescape themes.
Sorry your DD is down with a cold..hope she bounces back soon. Birthday wishes to your DH too.

You really did find some wonderful "goodies"...I wonder how your angel would look with a chunky ornate gold (or color of the violin) FRAME tied in with it somehow...ummm, just thinkin'!

Napkins & milk pitcher are very cheery! Sounds like a wonderful weekend with your DD...hope she gets well soon! No fun! Cute furry friend! TFS your goodies! Jeanne S.

Hope dd feels better soon!

Really think your napkins are darling, and the napkin rings are such pretty pastel colors. Neat pitcher and of course, you know I like cherubs too. ;o) Glad you had fun shopping and all--hope your DD gets over her cold quickly--and how neat that you and your DH can share birthday parties! Luvs

awww, poor little Chloe. Its so hard on the furkids when storms frighten them.
That's too funny you and Jane got the same Cherub, but I guess 'great minds think alike'. I like Jeanne's suggestion of him in an ornate gold frame! That sounds really pretty. He'd work for Christmas, Easter, and Valentines.
Hope DD feels better soon.

hugs, Karen

Lynn,
I have red accents in my kitchen and am curious about the milk pitcher. Can you share information about it?

RE: More New Goodies to Share With You All!

OA: Sure! The tag says, "The Old Pottery Company". The logo on the bottom of the pitcher says, "Create (sp) by Just Mugs, made in China". And, because she didn't get the entire price sticker off of it, I can see that she got it at TJ Maxx. I hope you can find one for your pretty kitchen!

Karen, I like Jeanne's idea of a suspending it from a frame, too! As for my sweet furbaby, Chloe, she gets frightened of loud noises and, of all things, the beep from our cell phones and home phone, when they let us know we have a message or they're running out of battery power. I feel so badly for her when she gets frightened like this!

Luvs, thank you! The 8 napkins will be fun to work with. DH and I never celebrate our actual b'days together, but we sure enjoy and appreciate our dual b'day/Super Bowl party every year!

Kathleen, OMG, you misplaced your V'day box of decs? Hope it eventually turns up!

Jeanne, I really like your idea of the frame! I'm going to try it today if I can make some time while working on the bills and paperwork here. Thank you!

Jane, Yes, Emily's walking around giving DH & I the "teenage evil eye" and complaining that it's all our fault that she got this cold from us. She thankfully does it semi-nicely, though (LOL!). Chloe has eyes similar to a Pug, although they don't have the problems with them that Pugs do. They're called "ape-like eyes" in the dog books. As for our "triplet" angels, I think they're wonderful and was surprised and delighted to see yours in the cloche yesterday. What a great idea, BTW! I don't remember seeing them last year, but would love to. Do you have that pic to show us? It sounds darling . . . plus, I'm always interested in seeing more of your tablescapes! I felt very lucky to find mine. This was the one and only Valentine dec in the entire consignment shop the day I was there, and it's a BIG store! I'm hoping to check out the new antique (and "junque") mall down in town tomorrow if we don't get hit with another snowstorm tonight.

I know what you mean about the busy, I thought we would slow down this time of year, but it hasn't happened. Happy late B'days to you both. I'm so glad to hear ya'll got to experience Riverdance, it is really awe inspiring. All your goodies are great. I love the milk pitcher and the napkin rings. And Chloe is just precious. My little Smidge was really enjoying our snow until it got to deep for her to walk.
