Last week I'd bid on and won this gorgeous brass deer and picking it up was the first thing I did. I got him for $15, I think. He's 19" tall and quite heavy and I'm thinking that I'll use it for a table centerpiece (at the end of my table) and may set it on one of my fireplace hearths the rest of the time.

I found these pretty embroidered placemats at GW for $2 each and got four of them. Sorry, I didn't have time to wash and iron them before taking these pics

I found a new set of 4 orange placemats, also $2 each at GW. These will be great for Autumn, Halloween or Thanksgiving tables. They may work well with my Talavera dinnerware, too. I'll have to see.

I bought this set of Christmas placemats for $2 each:

And four white dinner plates with gold trim, also for $2:

And, I found this (new with tags still) bath towel that matches the hand towel I already have for my guest bathroom, which is done with Western theme. It was $2.50. I love this design and was so happy to find it's bath towel counterpart, in perfect condition.

Next, at Marshall's, I finally found some pink placemats after searching in vain for a year now. They were a set of 4 for $7. I got two sets.

I also found this placemat & napkin set (of 4) for $6. They had them in pale green or pale yellow. I can't wait to use them this Spring!

I found some awesome salad plates, but I'll show you them in a tablescape soon.

On to HL, where I picked up the rest of the things I need for my Valentine table and some fabrics to make a set of placemats and napkins. I used my HL 40% off coupon for the flowers and both fabrics were on sale for half off.

Sounds like you had a really fun day of shopping. Love the nice reindeer, he will look great for a centerpiece or on your mantel. You sure have a neat supply of pretty placemats to use for your tablescapes now, and such good prices on them too.

What a great find on the cowboy towel. Isn't it fun when that happens?

What a fun birthday--a treasure hunt! You did really well, and I know your upcoming tablescapes will be as beautiful as they always are. I spent all day today trying to rearrange my storage as I brought eight plates and a copper saucepan home from the Goodwill store. Have you run out of room yet?
