belt hitting battery on Fiero!

| My 84 Fiero battery has a cut in the bottom of it from the belt. Is there some reason this is happening? The belt and battery are pretty new and the battery clamp is tight so I can't figure out a reason. Thanks |

Strange ! They do pack this compartment, too tightly, IMO...
Maybe the belt is too long ??... or too loose ?
Is the battery tray rusted and collasped a little ? |
