George - WOO HOO! Now THAT'S a useful tool! We have one similar, but not quite as big and let me tell you, that cart gets some use! We load up garden tools, fencing, poles, mulch....you name it to haul where ever we need it. It really cuts down on how many times you have to stop to walk to the garage to get things. We even use it to harvest! Last year, Grand-daughter got to use her new skills driving the mower to haul the cart FULL of sugar baby watermelons. I've got a picture somewhere I should post of her proud smile looking back at the melons. Charlie - you're lucky your wife lets a 12-pointer on the wall. Got to admit, if DH got a 12 pointer - I'd probably half to concede. That's really quite an accomplishment! I don't understand women who won't cook the meat, but then...I know some aren't processed as carefully as my DH does it. To me, it tastes like the BEST corn-fed angus beef. Before he met me, though, he never had different cuts made. Now we have roast, cube steaks (they are the best chicken fries you've ever tasted) along with the back-strap and ground. Between the garden and the ususal 2 that he gets a season - we save a TON in grocery costs! Several years ago, I invested in a bow...so now we occassionally go out together but that's a LOT of work. The windshield is an integral part of the body. It is used to support the roof in a roll over. G.M. has sent us memos on the replacement of the glass. If it is replaced with " butal tape " all warranties and safety issues with G.M. are void and they can't be sued but the mechanic that installed the glass without using the approved urethane adhesive can be. A 1/2 bead of the stuff properly cured will stop a 22 bullet. Most glass places and body shops still use butal tape. That stuff is a very soft black rope like filler that never hardens and is very easy to use and very fast. After many years a person can still push out a windshield held in with butal tape by lying on the front seat and pushing the window out with their feet. Try that with urethane,if the glass doesn't break first the metal framing will bend. Bottom line. It someone went to all the trouble to keep the glass in to use for support how much support do you get with a cracked piece of glass before you even start ? That is why some states manate a replacement as soon as the glass is compromized. You can have a thousand cracks in your window and nothing will happen, maybe some vision problems though but i'd realy don't think i'd like to be rear ended, broad sided, or have a roll over. Don't get into any accidents and you will be just fine until you can afford to replace the glass. Make sure they use the proper stuff. Just a little F.Y.I. All cars use urethane now. I hate that stuff. It may take 4-6 hours to remove a windshield and clean up the surface for replacement. Butal tape, maybe 1 1/2 hours tops.

I think metal behind the stove and glass for the rest would be nice. I've worked with glass, and can definitely see it cracking due to the heat. The heat expands the glass where it's hot and not where it isn't and the expansion has nowhere to go, so breaks the plane of the surface and cracks. Or something like that. Do you have a separate panel over the stove? That might give enough expansion room. Or maybe do mirror tiles over the stove and sheet mirror elsewhere. Or something like that? I have a mirror backsplash in my butler's pantry, but nothing much happens there...

sumnerhousesf.com: Anytime you see orange and marble it's not a good thing. The orange is probably rust. Something metal is oxidizing inside/under that marble, causing the failure and the orange. It must be removed for a permanent repair. You're going to get guys offering to fix this for $150.00. It may look nice for a month or so, but that's setting money on fire. I would remove the shower door, remove the marble, replace it with a solid surface marble look-alike, and reinstall the door. Around $1,200.00, but a permanent fix.
