| 93 geo metro cuts out when the tank is less than half full
fill the tank up runs fine.replaced the tank no change.any ideas |

| 1. Maybe the fuel gauge is in error: It reads 1/2 full when in fact the tamk is empty. 2. The float and fuel pickup jams at the half way point. The fuel pickup is attached to the float and dips just below the surface of the fuel. The fuel strainer (sock)touches bottom only when very low on fuel. 3. The vemt in the gas cap is plugged. The gas cap has a one-way valve vent that is supposed to admit air into the tank, but prevent vapors from escaping. |
