Haha. This thread is reminding me that when we gutted our "remodeled" tub/shower combo we discovered that the walls were framed in 2x3. In fact all our interior walls are framed in 2x3 so the joke's on us. This house has a ton of quirks and that's one of them. The prior "niche" that had been installed in the shower on that 2x3 wall was not waterproofed, the back of the niche was actually a piece of tile just slapped on with adhesive to the drywall (which was the wall of the adjoining bedroom.). Believe it or not there was actually zero water damage whatsoever. I was actually quite shocked. Anyway. The doors are not the same, even in KM and Shiloh. The specs are different. As are the build specs, and customer service. You pay for things in different ways. Often the better buying experience is not the cheap one where you have problems. Shiloh is not what KM is. And vice versa.

Have you asked a contractor about matching existing? There are a lot of different types of woods floors that can be matched if they're site finished. We did this successfully at our previous house when we had an addition put on. Please post a picture of what the existing looks like so we can see what you're working with. Do you live in an area where tile is common (hot climate)?
