Having purchased a large number of daylilies this summer from different nurseries, I have learned a lot about them, Most of them were either good or exceptional, and one or two were downright sorry, in my opnion. First, I'd recommend that you do an internet search for each separate cultivar you wish to purchase. In the Google search, type in "daylily + (name of cultivar). You will then find a number of daylily farms that are offering the specific cultivar for sale, and the price. The prices will vary considerably, but you can get a good idea of what it is worth. I would definitely do this before making a purchase at auction! It is very time-consuming, but worth it in the long run. Keep in mind, though, that the cheapest or the most expensive prices do not necessarily reflect on the quality of plants that you will receive. Second, before ever placing an order, I'd research a nursery carefully by reading the reviews by their customers at Dave's Garden Watchdog, You can also search here at GW, as many of us have read and contributed to a number of discussions regarding specific daylily sources. You really should try to use Edmunds to find your desired car then use the internet to try to get the car for that price. Once they agree to the price, just go drive it. If you like it they just have to write it up. Alternatively you can find the car at the price you want over the net. Pop into the dealership to drive it...don't tell them you've been in contact on the net. If you like it, go home ask them to write every thing up. You may need to email some info back and forth if you want a loan. Then just go in, sign the papers, pay and drive off---should be pretty quick if all the paperwork is much done. I do not know what you are looking for but 2010 Corolla LEs are selling under $300 invoice and had a $750 rebate last month. I am not sure what the rebate will for for Feb. We are talking out the door for about $16.7K or less. That seams like a great deal and I took advantage of it this week. If not pickly about colors, send for some quotes from local dealers. Then on or around Feb 25 say you want to purchase on 2/28 and tell them to send there drop dead best price. It should be pretty painless. Good luck. PS As far as Enterprise, I'd be weary. A low milegae car reccomended by consumer reports I might take a chance on...a car with a bed rep from Enterprise...forget it.

Someone ran into me back in Nov and totaled my 2008 ES 350 Lexus, and I purchased the the 2016, same model, shortly afterwards. I didn't test drive any other car! I love the way it sits, not too high or too low, as with many of the new models. It has every option known to man, a very generous trunk, and spacious back seat. I've had a couple of 'altercations' with heavy truck treads on the road, which caused absolutely no damage to the under carriage. DD has a Kia and had the same thing happen,and did cause damage and a part needs replacing. It also feels heavier than most cars I have ridden in as a passanger. Also free car wash any time I need/want. ;)

I don't think my car is ugly... not really either. It'd be on the ugly side for most people. but I don't have much of a problem finding it in a parking lot (except when I do - and think someone stole it - lol!). I realize this past week that it is now 22 yrs old. I think I've had it 10 yrs. or so now. maybe more. My sister thinks it's ugly and refuses to ride in it. I always tell her that if I see her broken down along the road, I'll wave... It's a Buick wagon and was on a curve down the road when my boyfriend took me out to find a different car. He'd given me a Volvo and that was nice (heated seats - don't use often in AZ) but the key got stuck in the ignition and i couldn't go anywhere (except my sister's house) and not worry about it being stolen. He couldn't find the 2nd key to it. I didn't worry about the car being stolen really, but it was around Christmas and I couldn't even Christmas shop and be sure I'd get home with what I bought. Anyway, we stopped down the road and this car worked and was cheap so I said 'this one is fine'. Plenty of room to haul the dogs and stuff. I'm planning to replace it with a Honda CRV (used) soon. I've asked my mechanic to put the old Buick front end on a CRV for me. I'm sure he's working hard on plans for that! The way people drive out here, I'm just not gonna feel safe going back to a smaller car. I drove a Buick wagon from '78 to '88 and loved it. Then bought a Corolla and then a used Cressida (liked both of those cars) after a PU hit the front end of the Corolla.. I love that I don't worry about someone opening their car door into mine, or what the sun and desert dust storms do to it. or my dogs, or a plant toppling over in it, or pay high insurance or $s for the tags, or someone actually stealing it for the car. My mechanic told me years back that I only drive about 2,000 miles a year - and probably even less in the last 5yrs. It usually gets me where I want to go and home again. It's seldom that I drive more than about 13 miles from home. Sometimes it stretches to 20 mi (that'd be a doctor located out of my comfort zone). I really don't like the idea of a newer car either.
