I'd say in about 8 months given the right light / fertilizer.

Let me preface this by confirming that this is frequently a scary unknown until you've tried it. I like trailers because you get to hope for suckers! I'll answer the best I can but I'm certainly not an expert. #1. You don't get to decide, the plant will do that for you. It will start a new crown when IT is ready. #2. Can't tell. If the plantlet was started from a crown, then they would have been mature leaves. #3. Yes. #4. Pinching the crown means to remove the starting leaves from the middle of the crown. This is to encourage new crowns to develop. Think of it as a tree, if you will. You start with one crown, and at some point pinch out the center. Multiple crowns (hopefully) will grow from that area. Those new crowns will eventually be pinched, and new crowns grow from those, and so forth. #5. I don't know. I think if it was my plant I would leave it. #6. I think it's ok in this pot for a while. Let it get over the transplant trauma, grow some suckers (crowns) and then repot it. (Trailers really like shallower pots, and they are referred to as 'pan pots'. A 5" pan pot is only about 2" deep.) In the meantime, I would go to a 3" pot the next time, and then the 5" pan pot, which is the smallest available. #7. They all look like new leaves or suckers. A peduncle will usually look like a little round thing with an triangle on each side. That is the flower bud in the middle with a leaf on each side. I enjoy trailers because they just get to be themselves without a lot of fuss, but they still need good grooming and care. The ideal shape is a ball, but I haven't totally figured that out yet. The trouble with charging batteries off of the truck charging system is that the battery chemistry of the batteries changes the float voltage. A gel cell battery should have a float voltage of about 13.4 V, AGM 13.5 and flooded-cell 13.8. Your truck probably has a flooded-cell starting battery and the voltage regulation is tailored to that. Overcharging or chronically undercharging batteries will seriously shorten their life. In addition, the charge rate of gelled batteries needs to be externally controlled, not voltage-controlled. Do you really have a gel-cell battery? It will likely be damaged by the tow vehicle starter battery charging system. Your use of the term "trickle charge" is confusing. Do you have a charger of some sort of these batteries or are they just hooked up to the tow vehicle's charging system? If the latter, this is not a trickle charge. (Do you have the right fuses in place? I hope so or you could easily make smoke and damage your property.) One diode-type isolator for each battery or shared? One should work. Again, what kind of batteries? The diode in the isolator will drop the voltage about 0.3V, IIRC. If you are isolating AGM batteries, lucky you, that drops the voltage about the right amount for battery health. If you have flooded batteries, you will undercharge them. If gel, you will overcharge them. Check with the battery manufacturers. The easiest thing for you to do would be one of two things, if you only do day trips, charge the batteries when you get home. This may not be legal or the brake battery, but I really have no idea about those regs. The other is to use two flooded batteries and hook them up to your charging system with suitable wires and fuses. You might want to use an isolation relay. If you want to use sealed batteries, get two AGM batteries and use a diode-type battery isolator or build your own.

In order to prevent the splice from failing prematurely, you need to seal out the elements. The push in connectors do not provide any sealing or protection. The best splice is to always strip the wires, slide the appropriate size heat-shrink tubing over the wire, wrap the wires together to provide a secure mechanical connection, solder the connection, slide down the heat-shrink & heat to seal the connection. Butt splices when crimped with a real crimp tool and covered with heat shrink is a distant second choice. The little blue in-line snap connectors are a sure failure. Also, make sure you use star washers on both sides of the ground to chassis wire terminals - after cleaning any paint off the chassis at the connection point.
