P/U Bed Liner

I think there was a post about this not too long ago--can't find it.

I'm painting my old '79 P/U. No its not worth it, this is for my own amusement.

Was just going to shoot rust stopper, primer then color in the bed to make it look some better. Its well rusted. Lots of Rustoleum and the like. Various colors. Rusted thru here n there. Well I saw some paint-on bed liner in Auto Zone. One was DupliColor tuther was something like Herculon or some such name; it had rubber particles in it. Both seemed to be 1-part polyurethanes.

Roll paint em on. I'd shoot it on cept you need a 1/4 inch gun! Seems to me rollering it onto a corrigated P/U bed would be a bit much. Off hand brushing sounds more practicable. Anyway has anybody messed with this type of stuff? Is it worth the effort? Would it look decent? Or would the 2-part Acrylic enamel followed with clear coat stand up bettah?
