 o
clean vinyl roof?

How do you clean/restore a white vinyl roof? No damage but pine tar stains and that black staining in the texture. I have removed all fresh pine tar but nothing has helped the yellow stain from dry pine tar. I have scrubbed with everything I can think of but nothing removes the black. Any tips? Thanks in advance.....

RE: clean vinyl roof?

In 1985 I bought a '84 Lincoln Town Car with a full vinyl padded roof medium gray in color. Soon the roof started getting dark areas on it. I tried all the usual cleaners with no success and eventually some of the vinyl started coming off so I quit rubbing and let it remain dark and streaked. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, it wasn't what I wanted to happen either. After that I've never bought another car with a vinyl roof. Hope someone else can help you.
