I have a vinyl pergola and it has vines on it all summer. When I take down the vines, I simply spray it down with 409. I let the 409 sit for a few minutes, then run a very soft brissel brush all over it. Then I hose it down. It is rare that I have to pay any special attention to a given area. I clean the outside vinyl on all of my windows the same way, about twice a year. I've been in my house for 32 years and that vinyl is looks new.

OMG...I'd have been concerned when they landed that massive pile of debris on my porch roof! That needed to go into a large dumpster!

A Hoover Floor Mate would work great. I love mine. You mix your own cleaning solution for it. On my vinyl plank flooring I use Armstrong Once N Done. It has two settings. Wet and dry. I put the solution on the floor with the wet setting and pick it up with the dry setting which turns the scrubbing brushes off. It leaves my floors both vinyl and tile spotless and nearly dry.

My house has white vinyl siding, and it requires constant maintenance in terms of cleaning. We live in the country (we're farmers), and the white shows everything - especially cobwebs, dead (and live!) insects, and dust from the road and surrounding fields. It is especially bad around my entrances and windows (probably because that's where I see it close up). We power wash the house in the spring and fall, and I constantly clean my entrances by hand so that it looks respectable. The house we are building will have darker wood siding and a grey metal roof. I have no doubt that the darker siding will also get dirty, however I think it probably won't show up as much as it does on the white siding.
