Rattling brake pedal

Posted by ojoy (My Page) on

Recently my car's brake pedal will 'rattle' occasionally, for example as I am about to pull into a parking stall. It has happened about once a week for a couple of weeks.

A couple of times the brakes also became squishy and I had to press the brake pedal right down to the floor boards.

I would appreciate any advice.

RE: Rattling brake pedal

Check the fluid level in the master cylinder. If that's going down it's most likely a leaking wheel cylinder (rear brakes).
