| A couple of weeks ago a young friend was working on a 2000 Ford Tarus, car would start run, no power, barely move, everything was checked, fuel pump, injectors etc, everything came up ok. I was ask for my ideas, I had none. Marcel who formely owned a garage happened by and we ask him. He looked at car and told us about a post from John G he read at this site several years ago. John described a car with nearly these same symptoms and the cause was a computer with no reference voltage, he suggested that my young friend check for this. He obtained a voltage table and checked, sure enough no 5 volts reference voltage. Computer was replaced and this fixed problem. So my young friend and I tender a hefty thanks to John G |
