why does new car have passenger airbag on/off indicator on dash? i know car has pass airbag. i expect it to work when pass is in car. why do car manufacturers have to alert drivers that bag is on/off? my 15yr old car has pass airbag but no stupid warning light?

RE: airbag message

Because you can turn on/off the passenger air bag. It's in your manual. You might want to read it when you have the time.
