 o
Turning Off Ignition at Speed

I'm not convinced its all that easy especially the first time around. It's not a natural first reaction unless you've had previous experience and/or trained yourself and maybe ran thru a practice session.

My first go:

We bot a '70 Chev new and installed an after market cruise control, I think that's all that was available then. Well one day a couple years later on an Arizona freeway it hung up. I don't know why anymore or who was driving my wife or me but the scenario was:

First) shoved selector into neutral
Second) slowed down and pulled off the road
Third) after a slight hesitation turned off the key

Why the hesitation? I dunno - maybe it was just reaction time but it wasn't instantaneous and for sure was not first.
