Car valuation

Hi,

I have an question about used car valuation.

I have purchased an 2004 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro (under CPO) from Audi dealer in 2008 Augest.

I paid $28,100.

At that time, they told me this car does not have a damage that is over $2000.

However, it does. The previous owner has repaired the car at the Audi dealer shop which is the one I purchased from. This car had an repairement over $5000.

How does the huge repairement affact the value of the car?

and what the car should be worth when I purchase it?

Thank you very much,

Scott

Was the work done correctly? If so then it has no effect on the cars value. One could in fact make a case for increasing the vehicles value at many levels.

Hi John,

Right now, the car's steering is not in right position. it is more on right.

do you think the car still worth $28100, if the sales person has shown the damage history (over $5000 repair)?
