What about the car? What do I tell her?
Comments (12)Yes, teling *fibs* to your Mother really does go against what you've learned all your life. I had so much trouble with feeling bad, that I went to one of Mother's neighbors, a retured nun/school principal, and unburdened myself. Now isn't that a great turn around... remember how we all quaked at the thought of being sent to the principal's office? And to be discussing lying, no less! Anyway, Sister made me feel a lot better, and we agreed that anything that would get my Mother upset (as many things do) was not in her best interests. I felt like I had had a dispensation. So, you may want to run this by someone you are comfortable with having some 'moral authority'. I am not trying to get religious here, because I certainly am not a observant person. But if you can talk to someone who knows you and knows your mother, a minister or doctor, and they will tell you that it's ok. You are doing the right thing. But it's that curious netherworld that we inhabit when dealing with our aged parents. We can recall all the lessons of our childhood, and we have respect and love for our parents, but here we are treating them like they are 3 or 4 yr old children. No one said this was easy....See MoreHow do I tell my best friend her husband is cheating on her?
Comments (14)I'd tell her she better go and snoop herself. Why would she send you instead of doing it herself anyway? And, why would he leave a prescription for Viagra laying around/wouldn't it be at the drug store or in his wallet? What could you tell from the "phone records" without doing a little more research? Don't they have a trash service at his office...or does it just not get taken out if he is out of town? Why wasn't your friend waiting with baited breath to see what you found if she knew you were going to be snooping? Guess I have more questions than answers to give you. Anyway, offer to watch her kids, and tell her she better go take a look herself....See MoreI feed her, I walk her, I brush her, I take her for car rides,
Comments (18)When they were teens (17 and 18) we bought one daughter a puppy and got the other a kitten. We still have two pets, tho the younger daughter has moved into her own apartment. That dog misses her so-she waits at the top of the stairs near her bedroom door, hoping DD will come home. She never does. When she does stop by (a couple times a week) the dog goes bananas with joy, jumping and running all around. Even tho I am the one who always feeds her, lets her in and out, brushes her, and allow her to come up on my bed antime she wants. Go figure!...See MoreI am shocked, how long it takes
Comments (13)I love the solar drying also! I replaced my dryer last year..it was taking forever. The new one drys things quite quickly now. I told DH my old dryer wasn't doing the trick anymore and he took a look at it. The vents were clean, but the plug was getting VERY warm. He said replace it IMMEDIATLY. Wasn't worth a house fire - and the new one takes a lot less energy. I do use the line as much as possible, but I have a ton of laundry - so the dryer gets a workout also....See MoreCA Kate z9
