Derry...sending you a hello!!

Hello Derry, Haven't seen you on in awhile. Hope all is well with you. How are your violets??? Lost mine...just don't have that special place to grow them in my home. Whenever I see one I think of you and your dear Mom. All is going just o.k. with us....I know you know what we are going thur. Will you get to see your sister this summer? Wished I could come to Virginia Beach again and sit on the beach and do nothing!!!! God Bless. Nora

Hello Nora....I am still here. I do know what you are experiencing, at least to some extent. It is an uneven road, and I am sure hardest for your Dad. I still have of the 3 violets, and also the others. They do best in winter because of the trees in leaf in the summer...not enough light. Yours were especially vigorous , and are doing well. I am sorry your place doesn't have the light.

Good to hear from you. Yes it is the hardest for my dear sweet Dad. He has not been feeling well...the heat and his blood pressure has been low...it is usually high...taking him for doctors visit and try to get him doing better. He is staying in out of this heat. Glad to hear your violets are doing well. I would love to come out for a visit....wouldn't it be nice if we could spend sometime on the beach....something to think about and maybe plan for next summer!!! Again good to hear from you. Nora

Just popped here again to relive the problems of the past almost year now. Still have "like button" issues described above between the app and web versions, which has plagued so many forum users for quite some time. I still get 404 error messages when trying to load some pages from web... those seem to be related to the size of the thread, amount of photos perhaps on those threads? and is sporadic. Sometimes pages load fine, other times, it takes multiple attempts for a thread to load up. Posting photos has gotten somewhat better, but I still need to use a workaround (ie I use my iphone app to post photos, and the web/updated Chrome to read/write/edit comments)... Posting photos through my laptop using the web is a PITA bc I discovered I have to size down each photo in my library, but I refuse to switch to using app only bc I hate that you cannot edit comments from the app. So my workaround is that I post photos with the app on the iphone and then switch to my laptop to use web version for commenting, reading, writing and editing comments in the threads. I have to use two devices and two different platforms to make it work the way it used to... What a totally ridonkulous way to operate. SMH!

Diane, could you post a picture of your bird feeder? Part of my problem is that there are at least 50 squirrels that leave in the woods that include my yard. They are all so hungry that they eat anything. I placed an Oreole feeder with oranges in half’s. Well, they took the oranges off the feeder and dragged the oranges up the hill. I found them up there a few days later. They even go after the hummingbird nectar. The poor hummingbirds don’t even get a chance. I call them the squirrel mob.
