Sorry for the late reply. We have been entertaining guests the past few days for the New Year and haven't had second to breathe until now!

I just talked with my husband about it again who is very indecisive about the whole thing. One day he tells me to hire her and the next he him-haws around it and tells me he doesnt think we should. (He REALLY doesn't like spending money, typical farmer, and male, haha!)

I'd love for you all to take a look and tell me what you think. This is the "plan" our builder came up with as a rough draft so he could get an idea on materials. The orange wall is our support wall. The only other wall currently framed in is the left wall of the "Utility" room. Just because our utilities are already there and they needed a frame to put some stuff up on.

We are stuck where the bathroom is. We have geothermal heat so we had to pick where all of our plumbing went when we built the basement.

Where the bedrooms are are where the egress windows are. So we are stuck with those as well.

What we don't know what to do is with that long area near the top where it says "LIVING" it's long and awkward. Builder suggested a pool table as a joke, but that wont be happening. We've had a pool table for years and never play it. Was thinking maybe a built in office/crafting area? But not sure.

We are wanting to put a wet bar / island with stools where the stairs are. I'd LOVE to incorporate it into the stairs and get creative with it, but again, not sure how to do that without having the bar-top be awkard with the room.

Thinking of putting a gas fireplace and built-ins on either side along the west wall of the utility room.
