I can tell you what we did for exterior...we drove around a neighborhood we liked and simply copied the exterior of a house we liked. We felt it was too risky for us to put together the brick, shutters, trim, roof etc., without looking at a built house to see how they all blend together.

PS: I cannot coordinate colors if my life depended on it! So copying felt safer for me :-)

we are using Spanish Bay brick, need to know which shingles you used?

Tamko Weathered Wood shingles. We felt that they were a good mix of brown and gray.
