Mediocre quality, mid range custom deserves better than Awsco and certainly much better than Masonite steel. Truthfully in my opinion Masonite anything in Steel or Fiberglass is shed material.

What about Therma True then for the door? Or what is a good brand for a basic steel entry door?

And do you recommend another brand for a spiderweb elliptical transom?

The only company that I could find that made a spiderweb elliptical transom that was not custom was Pella. I think they quoted around 4k for it.

These start around $3300 plus frt.

Therma Tru would be the lowest I would go without a doubt and that would not be steel. As far as the web elliptical, they are expensive no matter where you. You get what you pay for......

I only now, many years later, saw your post as I am searching for a new door and a solution to my cracking side Lites, which are beautiful and were custom made by a local company, Keim Lumber.
