What part of Michigan are you thinking of building in? I'm in Lansing. (No experience with them, sorry!)

We are in St. Clair County. Having a hard time finding a builder that we like. :(

I'm sorry, haven't heard of them, but wanted to ask if anyone has used Hunter Roberts in Birmingham/Bloomfield? We're in the very early planning stages and they are the front runner so far....

I know this is a super old post, but did you end up going with Pierson Gibbs? We are about to put a down payment down with them and would love to hear about your experience!

Wow stumbled across this post looking for other info; But yes, back in 1995 we used Pierson Gibbs. We built in the Ann Arbor area. Their people were easy enough to work with. I think I was looking for more input design wise (This all before we had access to the internet) and now realized I should have planned more than what I did before we started.

Back then they sold a material package that was builder basic so if you want to customize at all the allowance they give isn't much and their choices were slim. They rough in your home on your foundation and you finish yourself with sweat and tears or subs.

I'd do it again as we are do it your selfer's and both work in the building trades, but I think if you end up hiring subs to do all your finish you may be better off with a builder that will provide a turn key finish for a set price.
