How is this exterior material achieved?

Is this painted brick and painted shingles? Brick and shingles are unusual together aren't they?

Someone here is building with a white brick (linen color). Would that brick achieve a similar facade?

RE: How is this exterior material achieved?

It's hard to tell about the finishes from the photo. The brick could either be painted and a "natural" white brick. However the window sills and frame appear to be the same hue as the brick, so they could all be painted.

The shingles could be a lot of things: pre-finished cement board, pre-finished cedar shingles, or site-painted to match everything else. With the shadows and little bit of direct sunlight on the facade, it's hard to tell.

Whatever the finishes are, they are very effective in unifying and giving an overall harmony to a rather busy, material-rich facade. Well done!
