"Plastic" Shower Doors?

Hello, I just posted about insulation but have one more question (I hope it's okay to post twice).

In the community specs on our new house, the shower doors are supposed to be glass.

Builder installed them and they feel like plastic to me. Plexiglass. They are obscure. They look cheap, but the main concern is they FEEL cheap too and I doubt they'll last very long.

I went to Lowe's to look at different options. They all do technically say "Tempered safety glass" when in fact they seem a whole lot like plastic to me. There are heavier (actual glass feeling products) available but of course they cost more.

What should I do? Should we demand they put in actual glass feeling doors or is this just "it is what it is" because the manufacturers are calling their product glass when it is plastic.

We close in a week, and they just installed the doors. I thought the purpose of building was to not have to go in and rehab something when you buy it, and that's what these doors look like.

Anyone have any advice/experience with contesting this?
Thanks in advance!
