The corbel or support must be part of the form used. Reinforcement with steel might be advisable.

I don't understand how that would serve as a support for a poured concrete floor. A poured floor rests on it's underlying surface - a corbel will not support the floor. Or are we talking about running steel from the corbel and then building up from there?

The diagram from Superior Walls is exactly what I needed! I searched the web for several hours trying to find just that thinking that is should exist.
