In floor heat with Brazilian cherry, rug or no rug?

Hello,
We are hoping our sunroom is warm this winter, contractors finished installing water tube infloor heat yesterday. Should I lift up the area rug, or do you think the heat will transfer through the rug? It feels so good to have our feet warm, the room is warm now also, I just need to get some window treatments to conserve the warmth, before Iowa winter temps set in and our heat goes right out the windows! Just wondering if those with wood floor heat still cover the wood floor with area rugs??
Thanks for your opinions.

1. Brazilian cherry should not be installed over radiant heat. Use tile or a more stable wood like QS oak.

2. While I have a rug on my BC floor, it's in a fairly dim room. BC changes color with UV exposure so if you have strong light you will notice more of a difference in color b/t the covered part and the uncovered part if you ever decide to move the rug (or furniture).

Here is a link that might be useful: radiant heat and wood floors

As long as it is an engineered cherry, it should be fine. Solid 3/4 inch hardwood would be a problem.
