Help - Live with Ejector Pump or Cut Slab

So we are building our house where we probably will spend the rest of our lives. When we started the county records showed a depth that would not allow for gravity flow from the basement. The pipes were laid, the pit was set and all the concrete work done.

Now when we were going to hook up with the main, it was found that our depth was greater and we can do the gravity from the basement also. We have two options:

1) Leave as is and let the basement bathroom and wet bar be on ejector pump. Leaving us to the whims of a pump failure?

2) Cut the basement slab and lay new pipe. It is about a 20 foot run that will have to be made. My plumber is saying do this and my GC is saying, bad idea and don't cut slab concrete. Is it bad to cut the slab in the basement?

What do you recommend?
