Insulating crawlspace walls.

The block for the foundation should be finished tomorrow. At one point do you insulate the crawlspace walls? I’ve received conflicting opinions. Some say to insulate once the crawlspace is done. Others say to insulate the crawlspace when you insulate the rest of the house.
What type of insulation is best for the crawlspace walls?

What is the best method to insulate a crawlspace?

It doesn't matter when you insulate. Insulate with expanded or extruded polystyrene or isocyanurate boards. No fiberglass or other fibrous materials.

Might be easier to do before you put up walls...

How and when you insulate your crawlspace is determined by your building permit application and what insulation method you were approved to install under the permit granted.

So what did you propose with your application?

What did the Code Office approve?
