If your neighbors are that close that they can see what's going on in the bedrooms, I'd be concerned. But if that's not the case, I think any window covering will be appropriate. Will have to train daughter and guests to close coverings when spending time in room

My MB is at front of house and I've never felt "exposed", plus I don't think 'neighbors are too interested in what i do, lol

My children's rooms are at the front of our house (upstairs, though.) I used wide slat plantation shutters. They are painted white to match the trim. They provide complete privacy when closed, and are easy for children to operate. Much safer than blinds as there is no cord, and they look wonderful.

We have your basic 4 bedroom colonial. We use the 2 front bedrooms for our family of 3 - since they are the larger rooms. We pretty much keep the front windows covered and keep the side windows uncovered.

I use a combination of blinds and sheers. I open the blinds during the day but leave the sheers closed. Plenty of light comes in through the sheers, but until it gets dark out no one outside can see through them.

We have a bedroom on the front of the house and use room darkening roller shades under window treatments ... panels and valances and it provides complete privacy and darkness in the a.m.

Of more concern is noise from the street. We don't have a lot of traffic, but there are things like garbage trucks and such that can be noisy...

I have top-down cellular shades in my first-floor bedroom that faces the driveway. Perfect solution.
