From the research I've done and the folks over at the window forum also say that Marvin and Kolbe are the best....in that order. We chose Kolbe due to the look of their casements. Beautiful windows. From your quotes, it appears you are building a large, expensive home in which case I would definitely recommend you choose either Marvin or Kolbe.

I will ditto Michelle1973. after Marvin & Kolbe, the list falls off the planet in terms of quality. Both Marvin & Kolbe use Kynar paint which is really just as good as powder coat and in an extruded wood clad window you will not find one any better in a production window.There is a very good reason they are less expensive......

you should be using solar heat gain coefficients &
ufactors as part of the decision making process
nfrc is an independent non biased company
that evaluates & rates all brands of windows.
the shgc & ufactors are on the labels.
