Has anyone built a Connor home?

I'm very intrigued, but it seems almost too good to be true. Especially the Simple Classics.

Has anyone here built one? What's the catch? What are the hidden costs? I'm assuming there's the additional cost of site planning, foundation, HVAC, plumbing and electric, but what else? I wonder how much additional all that would be.

Based on the photos alone, to site build this house in my area of NJ, even one of the smaller "classics," this would be a $1.5 - 2 mil build (not including the land). So, what am I really getting for that $135,000?

Would love to hear from someone who has either built one or at least thoroughly investigated building one.

I'm ordering the catalog now.

Hi...we're in the research stage for a build sometime next year, and I've searched through their web site many times...the homes look beautiful, there is even one for sale close to where we want to build (though we haven't seen it).

I haven't ordered the catalog, but I did inquire about costs...this is part of the email I received from them:

Typically, our catalog homes run from $165-$200 a square foot. This number includes the foundation, Connor Packages, builder labor, mechanicals, appliances, sheetrock, insulation, countertops, and lighting fixturesÂessentially everything from the foundation up. It does not include land, excavation, septic, power, and water to the house.

We haven't moved forward with them as we're leaning towards a couple of other local builders...
