Tongue and groove? Bead board? Comes in wood, vinyl and aluminum.

Car siding is another possibility.

We have what my carpenter called "V-groove" on ours. The boards are wider than beadboard, but each one has a groove in it, so now they're painted they look like beadboard to me. I'm not sure what kind of wood they are, but they were knotty. Pine?

We used T&G spruce (stained after installation) on our veranda ceilings. The lower veranda ceiling has not been done at this point - so that's the steel beams and pan for the poured concrete you see below. The spruce is 4" wide, I believe.

Ours is 1' x 4' T & G pine stained after installation. We have this on all our outdoor porches. We have low voltage lighting ropes hidden along the edges of the cathedral ceilings which really make them glow at night. Great for parties.

Ah! That's the stuff! Thank you very much everyone. Your porches are lovely! Now to figure out if we can afford it...

And here I was the other day saying I never see anybody doing the old-style tongue and groove on porch ceilings anymore. (I don't because nobody will pay extra for it.) Three beautiful examples above--all go into my file!

It wasn't that much more for materials than T111...and since we're on a lake and the dirt dobbers like to build nests I'm glad we got it instead since it is smoother aka easier to clean.
