 o
brick ledge repair,...corner

Posted by landngarage (My Page) on

On my slab one corner of the brick ledge came out less than perfect, hard to describe, but it needs to be built up. My builder said the brick layer would just use some mortor to build it up....is there a better product? (this is a corner)

Thank you!

There should be at least 3" of ledge support for the brick veneer. If the ledge is insufficient, for whatever reason, you may have to have a metal ledge anchored into the wall. Its size and slope should be determined by an engineer.

The mortar is only a cosmetic repair.
