Help with our Kitchen Floor Plan

Posted by FosaMax (My Page) on

Could you give my wife and I some suggestions on our kitchen floor plan. We have not broken ground yet but want to finalize our plan. We are not sure where to place the appliances and cupboards to make the kitchen the most functional. The windows could be moved or removed if necessary. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I would post this in the kitchen forum for better feedback. From what I can see I like the range wall and windows. I HATE the two islands. I am not a fan of raised bars and islands with weird shapes unless absolutely necessary. Also that little island in the middle will not be that functional and will actually be an obstacle.

You have plenty of room to make one large island with a straight run and one level countertop. It would be more symmetrical and functional. You could easily fit a 6 x 10 island. Although some may say 6' is to far too reach I am a countertop junkie and would love all the space to spread out.
