is it possible to have an angled tray done for the whole room (9 foot angled into a 10 foot)...instead of bed area only? that would look nice.

It's not a window, don't worry about it. The tray would look better than flat.

Flat will look better to start with and won't be "dated" in another three years. Plus it will be cheaper. Buy some nice crown molding instead.

If you do a tray, do the whole room, not just over the bed. What if you ever, for some reason, decide to move the bed.
